India is currently in the midst of a realty boom. The growing need for space combined with the state-of-the-art construction technologies available today mean that skyscrapers are the norm. Sprawling landscapes and sky-touching imposing facades spell out the ultimate luxury. There are many sky-high buildings in India today. And, most of them are in Mumbai. But, the new projects, which are under construction, are breaking all odds and redefining what we know as tall. We have listed below some of these construction projects that could change our country’s skylines.

Island City Center, Mumbai

Bombay Realty is constructing this upcoming project in the commercial and residential neighborhood of Dadar (East), Mumbai. The luxurious residential project will have two towers of 71 and 64 floors respectively. Spread over 29 acres, 14 acres of lush greenery will surround the two high-rise towers. The project has thoughtfully-designed spaces and state-of-the-art amenities.

HBS Skylink, Mumbai

The residential twin towers are under-construction on the Worli sea-front. The towers will have 85 floors. The approved height of this building is 301 meters! Mumbai-based architect P.G. Patki has designed the skyscraper, which boasts of environmental sustainability. The builders are expecting to complete this project by 2020.

Omkar 1973, Mumbai

The three-tower project, two of 81 floors and one of 76, is again located in Worli. With a height of over 300 meters, it’s touted as one of the highest skylines in India. The towers will collectively have over 400 luxurious bungalow-style apartments. Foster and Partners have designed this magnificent structure. We can expect the completion of Omkar 1973 this year.

Supernova Spira, Noida

This 80-storied skyscraper spread over an area of 5 million sq. ft. is located in South Delhi. The project has residential spaces, commercial spaces, and two luxury hotels. Supertech Group has constructed this project on the banks of the river Yamuna. It is one of the tallest structures in India at 300 meters.

Trump Towers, Mumbai

This project site in the suburbs of South Mumbai is a collection of spacious 3 and 4 BHK apartments. Developed by the prestigious Lodha Group, the under-construction building has safety features like earthquake resistant RCC structure and smart card access. The impressive 304 meters building will have 77 floors.

Minerva, Mumbai

Lokhandwala Developers are bringing yet another supertall project, Minerva. It will overlook the famous Mahalaxmi racecourse. The construction, which will complete by 2018, will have two 82 floor towers. It is a residential project with thoughtfully-designed interiors. The construction of the building will withstand the climatic conditions for the next 500 years.

Harbour Heights, Mumbai

Harbour Heights is another high-rise construction project in Mumbai. This is a 60-floor project with a height of 303 meters. The builders will complete this project in 2020. It is located in Mazgaon. Internationally-renowned architects have designed this ultra-modern skyscraper.

Three Sixty West, Mumbai

Oasis Realty is constructing this two-tower building located in Worli. The taller of the two towers at 372 meters (85 floors) is a residential tower and the other tower at 239 meters (53 floors) will be a hotel. When completed in 2019, it will be the second tallest building in India.

World One, Mumbai

This supertall structure with a height of 442 meters will be the highest building in India. The builders will complete this project by 2019. Located in Lower Parel, this 117-floor skyscraper will have 290 residential apartments. Built at an estimated cost of $321 million, it boasts of interiors designed by Giorgio Armani. Lodha Group is developing this project.
